Hotel Monaco, Philadelphia Pa, Part II
As promised here are the photo's from Greg Haygood of Greg Haygood Photography. It's always wonderful to work with good, real people who, in every aspect of the event, have the happiness of the bride in mind.
Hotel Monaco, Philadelphia Sept. 6, 2013
This is such a cool hotel, the lobby is exactly how I'd love to decorate my house. The Hotel Monaco is an eclectic elegant mix of old and new. I did a wedding over the summer at one of their sister properties, The Eventi Hotel in NYC, also a member of Kimpton Hotels and it was equally as beautiful.
The bride was great to work with and when she booked me the interior of the Hotel hadn't even been finished. We didn't know what the reception room was actually going to look like until earlier this summer. So from there we tweaked the original centerpiece design. There was a balance here of having flowers, and not having them take away from the beautiful design of the room.
This was one of the weddings I would have loved to go to….everyone…I mean everyone was on the dance floor (when you walked past the doors opening to one part of the reception room it looked like there was no one there). And I have to give it to the bride, she has a very stylish group of family and friends. Everyone looked amazing…it really was a picture perfect event. And speaking of pictures…I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures from Greg Haygood Photography. They are a husband and wife team, who like myself also have a 3 month (now almost 4 month old). The only difference is that their baby takes a bottle and was with a baby sitter, while mine was hanging out with my husband on site ;). (And how you like me…I fancy with my new watermark for my photographs! Thanks Joanne Hewitt from Aquarius Logos for designing my logo. Here is a link to her Etsy shop! )
