LBI Foundation for the Arts and Sciences Sept. 14, 2013

I was waiting for Jenny of Jenny Kim Photo to send me her pictures of Nina and Tony's wedding.  I can't believe I forgot my camera that day!

The bride and groom were lucky enough to get some of that amazing September weather we had this year.  A Beautiful sunny day in LBI….setting up the Chuppah on the beach was almost like being on vacation….almost;).   (And a funny side note….those of you who have followed me as Bridal Bouquet Design, know that I had a baby at the start of the summer….a sweet little girl who is very willful and refuses, absolutely refuses, to take a bottle.  So she has been to every event this fall…9 weddings in total….to nyc to pick up supplies and all around the state.  My husband has been my obligatory baby nurse while I work.  When we were setting up the ceremony site on the beach baby Olivia was happily wiggling on her beach blanket in the shade)

This wedding was so much fun…and the only flower in it all was a few white ranunculus….lots of berries, grasses, ferns and succulents took center stage.

The boutonnieres were a mix of wheat, grass, scabiosa pods, craspedia, and succulents.

The Bride carried a very natural bouquet with lysimachia, scabiosa pods, grasses, brunia balls, blushing bride brunia, ferns, ranunculus, and succulents.

The bridesmaids carried a bouquet of grasses, wheat, echinops, ferns, craspedia and greens.

I suggested this idea to the bride for displaying the seating cards, and while I could have done it for her she was looking to save a little money.  So since Lowes actually has great small succulents at a decent price she decided to execute it herself.  She did a beautiful job.

The centerpieces were in rectangular pine boxes placed on burlap table runners.  Greens, grasses, lilly of the valley, craspedia, scabiosa pods, sedum, brunia…and two large and beautiful succulents.

I'm going to work on some other pages of the new blog now to finish it off.  Don't forget to check out my old blog to see my work going back to 2009.
